This is how to cut a chiffonade (a fancy way to cut your herbs). First you roll it into cigar very tight. Next, you slice across, which will cut the herb into confetti like strips. It is perfect for garnishing a dish.
This is the treat I serve to my healthier friends who don’t necessarily agree that anything with bacon and cheese is automatically amazing. It is also insanely easy to prepare and looks absolutely gorgeous. It can be a party appetizer, a healthy salad with lunch or dinner, or even dessert. The key here would be to use a very good quality extra virgin olive oil and in season watermelon.

- 1 small watermelon, seedless or seeds removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 16 oz feta cheese cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 bunch basil chiffonade
- Olive oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Combine the feta, watermelon, and basil in a bowl. Drizzle lightly with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste, toss gently to coat. Divide into servings, plate and toss a few extra basil strands on top for garnish.
- A great way to serve this at a party is on skewers!
